Secondary School
Juliet (Nigeria)
Juliet was only 12 years old when her father died, leaving her mother Patience, to look after their 5 children. Juliet is the youngest child. They live in Ipaja, Lagos State, Nigeria. Uneducated and with no special skills, Patience struggled to bring up her 5 children and educate them. ACT began supporting Juliet and her older sister Gift, in 2017. In 2019 Juliet was afflicted with a rare but acute illness. She developed odontogenic myxoma, a rare condition that grew into abnormally large tumour that deformed her jaw and became life threatening. ACT helped jointly with her church community to pay the surgery bill which the family would not have been able to afford. Juliet has mostly recovered from the experience, medically and psychologically. She was unable to go to school for several month but has since continued her education at junior secondary school. ACT support is helping to provide Juliet hope for a better life.Meet some of our children
