Our core organisational objectives, with the acronym SEED, are as follows:
Sending skilled volunteers to support our projects and activities in the communities where we work.
Educating fatherless children and orphans to completion of secondary school and up to tertiary level where possible.
Empowering widows/guardians via counselling, literacy and business skills training that will enable them to generate a sustainable income to support their families.
Developing the entire community where ACT works by providing technical and material support to local schools and health services.

#StepForChange
Join us in breaking the cycle of poverty for 40 families in rural Tanzania
This year, we are trying to raise £10,000 to support 40 disadvantaged families in Tanzania.
With £250 each, these families will receive livestock, so they can generate income in a sustainable and self-sufficient way. We will also support the education of one of their children.
If you want to help us reach this target – get involved!
There are two ways to help:
- You can donate to one of our existing fundraisers. For example, long-time ACT supporter, June, is climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to spearhead the #StepForChange campaign and raise money for ACT. Find out more and make a donation here!
- You can challenge yourself to a fundraising event. For example, you could run a half-marathon, organise a bake sale… it’s up to you! Find out more here.
All the money raised through your fundraisers will go towards the same goal: breaking the cycle of poverty for 40 families in rural Tanzania.
