Give as you live – Support a child as you spend!

Do you know that you can help to educate a vulnerable child in Africa as you shop online at no extra cost to yourself?

Give as you Live is a fundraising website which donates a proportion of the money you spend online to a charity of your choice, and we hope it is ACT!

Whether you’re buying an airline ticket, booking your holiday, shopping for clothes, or simply doing the weekly grocery shopping online, you can be raising money for ACT. A percentage of the total cost of your purchase is a donation to ACT.

It may seem small at first, but it quickly adds up. Look at it this way, 400 online shoppers giving just £1 each through their online shopping will generate a £400 donation for ACT. This will provide education and welfare support for two vulnerable children in Africa for a whole year, including school fees, school uniform and food.

There are over 40,000 retailers participating in the scheme including John Lewis, M&S, Asos and grocery stores – Waitrose, Tesco and Sainsbury’s. Also, airlines such as BA and Virgin are onto it, as are hardware stores such as B & Q and Wickes, amongst others.

So, how can you start giving… Easy!

Yes, really very easy! Signing up takes less than a minute. First follow the link here. As a new donor, Give As You Live will double your donation when you reach £5.

If you prefer, you can go directly to their website www.giveasyoulive.com. Fill in your name, email, set a password and you are good to go!

When you have created an account, the rest is easy. Go to www.giveasyoulive.com/dashboard. Then enter the store name you wish to visit and click “Shop Now”. This will then take you away from the give as you live website to the merchandiser’s main website. A proportion of anything you spend after that point will be donated to ACT at no extra cost to yourself.
